Speaking to Combat Hate and Prejudice
Over the last 40 years, Singer Applefield has been speaking openly about her experiences as a child survivor of the Holocaust to students, educators, librarians, religious organizations, corporations, and government agencies.
In addition to the middle schools and high schools she visits yearly, Singer Applefield has spoken at notable venues such as Faneuil Hall, the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, Harvard University, Brandeis University, Boston College and Northeastern University, among others. Singer Applefield presents her story of survival with a warm, approachable demeanor, inviting listeners to engage and relate to the challenges she faced.
